Kolkata: The Gujarat Titans continued their impressive run in the Indian Premier League 2026 season with a hard-fought four-wicket win over the Punjab Kings. Earlier in the day, the Kolkata Knight Riders secured a convincing victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, adding further momentum to an action-packed Sunday.
Speaking on Star Sports’ ‘Amul Cricket Live’, India batter Cheteshwar Pujara highlighted the growing influence of Jason Holder in Gujarat Titans’ setup. He noted that Holder’s all-round contributions have brought a new dimension to the side. “The way Jason Holder has made an impact on this team, both with the bat and the ball, has been impressive. His presence has taken the team to a different level,” Pujara observed, adding that his flexibility to bat across positions—No. 5, 6, or 7—has helped address earlier concerns around the middle order and added balance to the squad.
Turning to the earlier fixture, Pujara praised young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi for his composed innings during Kolkata’s chase. Scoring a steady 59 off 47 balls, Raghuvanshi anchored the innings with maturity beyond his years. Pujara described the knock as “clinical,” emphasising the youngster’s calm approach and ability to hold the innings together while others played around him. With such consistent performances, Kolkata Knight Riders appear to be building strong momentum in the tournament.

Looking ahead to the clash between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, Pujara pointed out that both teams have plenty to play for despite a challenging season. He noted that Mumbai Indians, with their rich legacy, will be eager to stage a comeback and restore pride, while Lucknow Super Giants will also be determined to finish strong. “Both teams will be playing for pride,” he said, underlining the competitive edge expected in the contest.
